Chocolate Chip Chia Banana Bars

makes 12


1 bag Fittersweet Chocolate Chip Chia Cookie Dough Mix

1 egg

1 ripe banana, mashed

2 Tbsp. almond butter, or your favorite nut butter

1 c. dark chocolate chips ( I like Guittard Sante), optional

Flaky sea salt, optional


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Line a 9 X 9 baking pan with parchment paper, or grease with cooking spray.

  • Whisk egg, mashed banana, and nut butter until thoroughly combined.

  • Add the Chocolate Chip Chia cookie dough mix to the wet ingredients.

  • Mix with a rubber spatula until just combined.

  • Pour into prepared pan and bake for 16-18 minutes.  

  • Cool bars.  If desired, when cooled, pour melted chocolate chips over the top and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.  Place in the refrigerator until the chocolate is set.

  • Slice into bars and enjoy!!
